Derek Green lived with a spirit as wild and free as the outdoors he loved.

Whether he was hunting in the woods, casting a line on the water, teeing off on the golf course, or racing across the lake on a jet ski, Derek felt most alive outdoors.

Diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at a young age, and later facing scoliosis, Derek carried these challenges with quiet strength. Few ever knew the burdens he bore, because he never let them define him. He chose instead to live boldly — with joy, determination, and a zest for life that inspired everyone around him.

On April 4, 2025, Derek’s life was tragically cut short in a motorcycle accident while riding home. He was just 24 years old.

Though his time here was brief, Derek’s life was filled with love, adventure, and an unwavering courage that continues to light the way for others.
